Tim was born in Gloucestershire in 1961. He grew up on his family’s farm in Cranham, Gloucestershire. He first started shooting when he was seven; shooting tin cans with a .22 under his father’s supervision.
He had his first shotgun at 12. This he used to good effect on the farm shooting Rabbits, Crows, Magpies and other vermin, In particular Pigeons.
His love of Pigeon shooting grew over the years and he still enjoys as it as much as ever. He has taken friends and clients on many memorable days Pigeon shooting.
He started Clay shooting as a young teenager, and this grew into a major hobby, Shooting most of the clay disciplines for his county up until the last few years.
Now with all his coaching and running a Partridge and Pheasant shoot in the Cotswolds he really does not get the time. However he does still manage to shoot game all over the UK looking for the highest Pheasants and Partridge to shoot.
Tim is a renowned first class game shot and coach, and has had write-ups in the Field, Shooting Gazette, Shooting Times to name but a few. He is an invaluable person to have with you on a peg when learning to shoot game, or even if you are a weathered game shot who has developed a weakness on one particular target, he will point you in the right direction.
At his clay ground in Bisley, Stroud, He tries hard to encourage youngsters to start shooting, as he says, they are the future of the sport, whether it be Game shooting or clay shooting. He also encourages girls to shoot, as he says there are not enough shooting today, and they can add glamour to our sport. They can shoot gracefully and equally as well as some of the guys.
Tim says “The more people shooting the better, we are in a growing sport.”
